The Year 10 CAD Technology course builds on the foundation of the Year 9 course. Students will use industry standard CAD software to create 2D and 3D objects. Students will gain experience in typical engineering and architectural tasks where a technology process is used to produce solutions to various problems.
These skills and processes help students explore their own design ideas and then visualise them with photo realistic renderings. Through these creative tasks, students can simulate how a design will work in the real world. 3D printing and laser cutting will be used to enhance the students experience in being equipped and prepared for our ever changing technological world.
This course is intended to provide a solid foundation for students wanting to progress through to the General Design, CAD course in Years 11 and 12.
