Design shapes almost everything around us – the things we buy, the way we get around and the places we live. It really does change the world, and that’s why we’re passionate about educating and inspiring the next generation of designers. This CAD Technology course introduces students to the world of design through introductory skill building exercises and then onto student design solutions. Simple parts will be drawn up allowing the student to gain skills in communicating design ideas accurately in both 2D and 3D formats in a virtual environment. Students can then start working on all kinds of design challenges and show off their creations with a 3D printed model. By nurturing student’s knowledge, skill and creativity, we can help them design a better world. CAD Technology builds into our Technologies priority which is a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths (STEAM).
