 Eligibility 

To work with a Department of Education school, you must:

  • hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start; and
  • consent to and obtain a National Criminal History Check with the Department’s Screening Unit.

Teacher Education

Baldivis Secondary College is deeply committed to providing opportunities for the next generation of teachers to develop their skills and understandings, and importantly provide a place of learning which links theory and practice.  At Baldivis Secondary College, we provide pre-service teachers with a safe, supportive and constructive learning environment, which includes physical, philosophical and pedagogical support.

All applications to complete practicums at the college must be received through the University Placement Officers.
