A range of Health and Physical Education courses are available to provide all young people with the opportunity to develop knowledge, understanding and skills about themselves, their community and the broader world in which they live.
ATAR Courses
Student results in ATAR courses are used by the Tertiary Institutions Service Centre (TISC) to calculate a student’s Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR). The ATAR is used to determine eligibility for university entrance. The following ATAR Health and Physical Education courses are offered at Baldivis Secondary College;

General Courses
These courses are not externally examined. However, they each have an externally set task (EST) which is set by the Authority. General courses are for students who are typically aiming to enter further vocationally based training or the workforce straight from school. Vocational Education and Training (VET) Qualifications
Vocational Education and Training in schools engages students in work-related learning built on strategic partnerships between schools, registered training organisations, business, industry and the wider community. VET can be undertaken as part of the WACE. Its completion provides students with credit towards a nationally recognised vocational qualification within the Australian Qualifications Framework. A broad range of post-school vocational options and pathways are available through the study of VET.
